Background

Katherine is both the oldest and youngest club in the NT. It was formed  in 1986 but ceased to exist in 1990. Around 2005 a social group of swimmers began meeting at the Katherine Aquatic Centre on Saturday mornings and, in February 2008, this group reformed into an official AUSSI club.

Yearly Membership

Membership (which includes NT Branch fees and National fees) is $55.00 per year. In addition members are required to pay pool and competition entry fees.
Club Equipment available for use, including kick boards, pull buoys, fins and training aids.
Club swimwear is available online at: www.agonswim.com and caps are for sale from the clubroom.

Programs

The programs available cater for all fitness and skill levels in a safe, managed environment to encourage fitness, freindship and fun.
Coaching, social events, interclub swim meets, time-trials and aerobic swims are all part of club swimming.

Training Times

The Katherine Kroaks meet weekly on Saturday mornings at 6:45am at the Katherine Aquatic Centre )Stuart Hwy) between September and May.
Session times are usually for an hour and afterwards there is morning tea that includes tea, coffee and a fruit platter.
